Visit From My Parents!

I know I don't post pictures right away, but this time I had to wait to get some from my dad because our camera is at best buy getting fixed once again. I had it while my parents came to visit, but while they were here it quit working. So Thanks dad for these pics.
Mom, Dad, Jeremy and his friend Matt came out for a week and we had a really great time. We spent a day out in Boulder checking out the scenery in Boulder Canyon and Boulder falls and then walked around Pearl St. Mall. Pearl St. is lined with all kinds of shops, restaurants, and different kinds of people outside putting on their own little shows trying to make a buck! Pretty cool.
Also during the week my Dad, Jeremy and Matt Ventured on their own to Pikes peak for a day and also Rocky Mountain National Park. My mom and I decided just to chill with the girls. Although we were crazy enough to go downtown for lunch at ESPN Zone, which was not the crazy part. The Democratic National Convention was being held this week which meant there were millions of people everywhere. That is a whole different story. We even had our car inspected by the secret service.
For the end of their visit we went to Steamboat Springs Co. for Labor Day weekend. It is so beautiful there and I love it. There is tons to do in Steamboat. We went swimming in the natural hot springs at Strawberry park, did some tourist shopping in downtown Steamboat, and checked out the enormous waterfall at Fish Creek Falls. I am so glad they came to visit and can't wait to see them again!

Chloe's 1st Day of Preschool!

Chloe is getting so big! She started preschool a few weeks ago and really loves it. She only goes on Tuesdays and Thursdays and wishes she could go everyday like her big sister Kennedy. She looks so cute with her big backback and has already made some friends. On Tuesdays she stays for lunch bunch so I get an extra hour. The first time the lunch bunch teacher sent home her juice box in her lunch box and it leaked thru soaking her backpack with and inch of standing juice and ruined her first project. I was not happy and had to ask them to please not send home any of the items she does not finish. But besides that preschool is going great and I am so proud of my big girl. She is growing up too fast and I ask her if she will still be my baby. I'm pretty sure she is still okay with that!

People Magazine Article

There was a really good article in People Magazine about how the Chapman's are coping with the loss of Maria, read it if you get a chance and enjoy this video!

Steven Curtis Chapman!

I am sure you have all heard about the Chapman families loss of their precious daughter Maria. I can not imagine the pain they have had to endure. On May 21, the night that they lost her to a tragic car accident my friend Jessica text me about what had happened and I began to pray for their family. I recently watched them on GMA and on Larry King Live. Even through all their pain and questions their faith could not be stronger. On Sunday, I had the opportunity to see Steven Curtis Chapman in concert at Faith Day at a Colorado Rockies game. It was awesome to see him and his sons and their amazing testimony. I know they would give anything to have their baby back, but they are definitely touching many people's lives. SCC said he wondered if he could ever tour again or sing certain songs like "Yours" and "Cinderella, but he knows beyond a shadow of a doubt he will dance with Maria again one day in Heaven!

On a lighter note you all know Ive been crazy enough to fly with three girls by myself to visit family, Right? On Sunday I didn't think I would be able to go to the concert because Gabe is in Ca. on business and I didn't have anyone to go with or a babysitter, so I was pretty bummed. But in the afternoon I was talking to Gabe on the phone and asked him if he thought I could get in at the end on the game just to see the concert. So, he call for me and told me that as long as the game was still playing I could go to the box office and get tickets. So crazy me took all three girls by myself and went to the game and had an awesome (and exhausting)time. Oh, and I had never been to a Rockies game so a REALLY nice couple showed me wear the box office was and paid for our tickets, how awesome is that. Gabe said I must have looked really needy or am just blessed! Let's say, "I am Blessed!" One more thing, after the game, when the faith day was starting a friend of mine(Kaylen) found us and helped me with the girls. How cool, I think I was meant to go. God is Good!!!

Almost sitting up!

Kennedy stealing the show, being goofy as always!
Happy Girl!

These were a couple weeks ago, she's actually doing better now! Just haven't taken any new pics of her sitting lately!

Gabe's New Motorcycle!

Gas prices have gotten too high for everyone ! So Gabe wanted to get a bike to cut back on fuel costs. He rides it back and forth to work and it only costs him about $8 a week in fuel. Can't beat that since I feel like every time I turn around I'm putting more gas in my van. It's a used bike and he got a real good deal on it. He figures that in just a few months he'll make up the cost of the bike in the money he saves on gas. Right not it does not have the muffler on it because the previous owner wanted it to be loud and is it ever! We always know when Gabe is on his way home from work and the girls run to see their dad! They have been waiting for him to take them for a ride so these are pics of the night Kennedy and Chloe got to go for a few spins around the block. (Going very slowly, I Promise!)

Chilling in the front yard!
Ava being a big girl!

Kennedy posing!

Ava's Turn! (just kidding)

This is not the helmet Gabe wears. (Kinda nerdy)
Its the one he put on the girls but it kept falling off Chloe!

Ready Dad!

Kennedy loves being the big sis!

She actually went first!
I put the pics on backwards!

Can I go again!

90 Minutes for Cheesecake!

You may already know from my previous blog that last Wednesday was National Cheesecake day, celebrating 30 yrs! So Gabe, the girls and I went to the Cheesecake Factory and waited an hour and a half for 4 delicious pieces of Cheesecake for a whole $6. That's less than paying for one at full price. It was only for those who dined in but at about 8:30 at night they decided to let people take it to go, 1 per person. And we were ready to get the girls in bed so we waited in line(not really a line, more like a mass of crazy cheesecake loving people trying to get to the front)after waiting for a table for 1hr already! On the way home the girls fell asleep and when Gabe brought Kennedy to her bed he told her he would bring her a drink of water and she said "and a piece of cheesecake too!". And after the girls were in bed Gabe and I shared a piece of Snickers cheesecake, MMMM! And we put the rest away for the next day and yes the girls got to have some the next morning for breakfast, they woke up asking for it!

Did we seriously wait that long for this?

Snickers, Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookie Dough, Oreo Madness and Peanut Butter Cup!

YUMMO!

All Gone!

Right out of bed "Can I have some Cheesecake?"

Do I look cute in the morning or what?

So Maybe we're crazy, but my best friend Shelly waited just as long in Dayton Oh!
And it was soooo worth it!
